Service terms
Terms of Service
These terms explain how hourly bookings, project work, deliverables, third-party costs, and payments are handled.

About the service
Hourly AI Specialist is a service operating under Space Before. It provides practical creative and digital production using appropriate AI and professional tools, human judgment, editing, and quality control.
Enquiries and project acceptance
Submitting an enquiry does not create a booking. A project is accepted only when its scope, estimated time, rate, likely deliverables, third-party costs, and start arrangements have been confirmed. Work may be declined when it is unsuitable, unlawful, unsafe, outside available capacity, or unlikely to produce a reliable result.
Hourly work and estimates
Time estimates are made in good faith but are not guarantees. Hourly bookings pay for professional time spent producing, researching, generating, editing, checking, communicating about, and preparing the agreed work. If additional time is likely to be needed, approval will be requested before work continues beyond the agreed amount.
Third-party tools and additional costs
The hourly rate covers professional working time, not every external service or asset. Costs for client-requested or project-specific tools may be additional. Examples include video generation, premium AI models, stock assets, specialist software, hosting, domains, publishing fees, or paid platform access.
Additional costs will be explained for approval before they are incurred. When practical, the client may be asked to purchase access directly or provide an appropriate account.
Payments
Payment terms will be confirmed before work starts. Payments may be collected through Stripe or another agreed method. Work does not begin until any required advance payment has cleared. The client is responsible for any taxes, charges, or approved third-party costs stated in the quote or booking confirmation.
Cancellations and refunds
A booking may receive a full refund if it is cancelled before work begins. Once work begins, the booking and approved third-party costs are non-refundable. Full details are set out in the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
Client responsibilities
The client must provide accurate instructions, timely feedback, necessary access, and material they are authorised to use. The client remains responsible for reviewing final work before publication or business use, including factual claims, legal compliance, permissions, disclosures, accessibility, and suitability for the intended audience.
AI-assisted work
AI systems can produce inaccurate, inconsistent, biased, or unexpected output. Reasonable human review and editing are part of the service, but no tool or output can be guaranteed error-free, unique, or suitable for every regulated, legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or high-risk use.
Ownership and third-party rights
Once full payment is received, the client may use the final custom deliverables for the agreed purpose, subject to any third-party licences, platform rules, stock restrictions, model terms, or existing intellectual-property rights. Pre-existing methods, templates, systems, know-how, and reusable working materials remain the property of their original owner.
The client is responsible for trademarks, source materials, claims, and other content they supply. No guarantee is made that AI-generated material can receive exclusive copyright protection in every country.
Confidential and sensitive information
Reasonable care will be taken with project information. Clients should not provide passwords, payment credentials, health records, government identification, confidential personal records, or other highly sensitive data unless handling requirements have been discussed and agreed in advance.
Delivery and changes
Delivery timing depends on scope, responsiveness, tool availability, and technical conditions. Minor corrections that clearly relate to the agreed brief may be handled within remaining booked time. New directions, added deliverables, or substantial revisions may require additional hours or a separate quote.
Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, loss of profit, platform decisions, third-party outages, or a client’s use of work outside the agreed purpose. Any direct liability connected with a project is limited to the amount paid for that project.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes and contact
These terms may be updated as the service develops. The version applying to a booking is the version available when the project is confirmed, unless a change is agreed in writing. Questions can be sent through the contact form.
